The present Ambassador of India in Sudan had visited
Khartoum in 2003 on special duty for the Indian President’s visit. H.E.
Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal has revisited Khartoum but this time as the Ambassador.
His previous posting was in Bern as Deputy Head of Mission. As a career
Diplomat this posting in Sudan is significant because this is the first time he
has presented Diplomatic Credentials to the Head of State of the country. Some
